Hi All,

It was a sunny day. Sridhar, Shanmuga, Suresh and Anup met at Ejipura signal around 8 and headed towards AET. We had a warm welcome from the students and we eased ourselves there. We were just inquiring the students on how they were and a little about studies.

In a short while, Mathi along with Arthi and Gomathy arrived with hot idly and vada. The kids were seated in two rows and the breakfast was served. All the kids were fond of the great coconut chutney and the kara chutney (that’s what we say). They didn’t have sambar at all. After the breakfast was over, one of the students cleaned the floor.

The students were made to sit in groups based on their class of study. Each of the UWF member was leading a group. Luckily I got a great group!!! I will tell later about this!

Mathi distributed pencil, sharpener and eraser to each of the group member. Color pencils and drawing chart were distributed to each group. The group was assigned with a topic and was asked to draw their thoughts related to the topic. The topics varied from shapes to natural scenery. The allotted time was around half an hour for drawing and around 20 minutes for coloring.

Finally, when the competition was completed, finalists of each group were selected. Each of the finalists were gifted with a ball point pen. The overall winner was Ajay, a small and thin boy. He was gifted a color pencil set. He was from my group. I got a lucky group!!! J

After the competition was over, Gomathy, Sridhar and I headed towards IGIA, Jakkur with a plan of picking up Karthik at Silkboard. We all boarded the Volvo bus to Hebbal.
